The meeting was called to order by president Don Searls with 20 members and guest present.

Minutes were read by secretary, Rosemary Watson and treasurers report was ready by Thomas Hudson.  Both were approved by the club.

The treasurer report was given by Thomas Hudson. The balance as of April 13, 2015 was $8,173.12.

We had one guest present, Chris Gates, son of Fred and Renee Gates.


We discussed our upcoming car show to be held on May 2, 2015. Everything seems to be in place for the show. We have 17 pre-registered for the show.  Bill has talked to Dana about the trophies.  We have enough plaques for the spring show but will have to order more for the fall show.   Don has contacted the food vendors. We have one and Don is trying to get another one.  The company that Larry Jones works for has donated a product called Slime, which is used to inflate tires, to use as door prizes for our show. They also donated small air compressors.  We will also get door prizes from O’Reilly’s.  Insurance for both shows has been taken care of.  The cost was $90.00 per show.

Upcoming car shows and cruises were announced by Don. If you want more information please contact him.  The first Friday Night Kruzn, was held on March 20.  There were 35 cars present.  This cruise is sponsored by Stillkruzn, Purple Cow and Pro Auto, and will be held on the third Friday of the month at The Village at Hendrix from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Taylor Weston is working on an idea for our donation box for the car show.  It will be something that will draw people to the box.  Donations collected, will given to the Ministry Center in Conway.


A card for Royann Forman will be sent to her from the club. She is not doing well.

The eat-out will be held on April 23 at Faby’s on Front Street. The time will be 6:30 pm.

Door prizes were given out and the 50/50 was won by Jerry Spradlin.   A motion was made to adjourn and 2nd.


From the President

We just had our April meeting and that only means one thing... No more meetings until after the Toad Suck Daze Car Show, which is on May 2, 2015.  We have almost 20 pre-registrations and I have had several phones calls asking if they could still pre-register.  The answer to that question is now "no".  Registration is now only day of show...

I want to take a moment to thank Larry Jones.  He was able to procure quite a bit of product from the company that he works for.  The company makes the product, Slime, and they donated a whole pallet to be split between several car clubs.  He divided it up and 1/3 of it went to Toad Suck Car Club and it is being stored at Helton's.

Also, now that April is over, that means we have had 4 meetings this year and that means I have 7 left as the president of the car club.  I know that several of our current officers are ready to step aside, so be ready for that come October.  

Also quick reminder, that we are meeting at McDonald's on Oak St between 6:15 and 6:30 on May 2 to eat breakfast before heading down to the Expo Center to setup for the car show.  We need to be at the Expo Center at 7 am to setup as registration starts at 8 am.
