November 2015

The meeting was called to order by president Don Searls with 28 members and guest present.

The treasurer report was given by Thomas Hudson.

The meeting started off with the introductions of our guest from organizations that our club donated money too this year. Our club proudly gave a check for $1,000.00 each to the following organizations: The Bethlehem House, check received by Nick Jacobson – Conway Ministry Center, check received by Scott Taylor – Faulkner County Relay for Life, check received by Sherrie Short – CASA and Children’s Advocacy Alliance, check received by Tess Fletcher and Museum of Automobiles, check received by Buddy Hoelzeman.

We also welcomed visitors Justin and Margo Nunn to the meeting. Margo took pictures of the donation recipients for the Log Cabin paper.

Old Business

Everything is on track for the Christmas party that will be held on December 14 at Helton’s. The time will be 6:30 pm. Joanne Hamm is asking everyone to sign up and let her know what dish they will bring for the party. We will play Dirty Santa and if you want to participate you must bring a gift costing no more than $10.00.

There were not any upcoming car shows that Don reported on. However he did mention the Calendar Planning Meeting on March 5, 2016 to be held at Antioch Baptist Church, the NSRA Appreciation/safety day to be held on March 19, 2016 and our Toad Suck Daze Car Show to be held on April 30, 2016.

New Business

Don suggested that we include on our car show flyer that we will do NSRA inspections during our car show. Don is leading Arkansas’s safety team for state inspections. This might bring in more cars if they know that they can get their car inspected during the show. We also will need to change phone numbers on the flyers. We will need to add the number of Larry Jones as he will be the club president for 2016.

Don is currently the MOTAA representative from our club. It’s time to renew this position. Don asked if anyone wanted this position for next year. Steve Watson volunteered to be the representative for 2016.

There will not be an eat out this month because of Thanksgiving.

Door prizes were given out and the 50/50 was won by Guy Cox. A motion was made and 2nd. to adjourn.

From the President

It's almost time for the holiday season.  We will be traveling the week of Thanksgiving to visit with my parents in Ohio and I know others will be traveling also.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, I am thankful that we, as a club, were able to make a difference is peoples lives, by donating the money that were able to in our last meeting.  I know that each of the organizations that received the monetary donation are also thankful.  What a blessing to be able to make a difference!

This will the last time I type this part of the newsletter up, so I want to one more time, express my thanks to each of you for your support of TSCC during our shows and other times of the year and I look forward to continue working with each of you throughout the next year(s).  As I have said, I am not going away, just changing what I do.  I am also looking forward to serving as the Arkansas Safety Inspector for the NSRA.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and are able to visit with you families and I'll see you at the Christmas part on Dec 14.
